Funding and Sustainability

Initial funding for the Alabama Digital Preservation Network was generously provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), the Network of Alabama Academic Libraries (NAAL), the Alabama Department of Archives and History (ADAH), Auburn University, Spring Hill College, Troy University, the University of Alabama, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and the University of North Alabama.

Ongoing support for ADPNet is provided by its members. Any Alabama-based cultural heritage organization with publicly-available digital assets whose activities and objectives are consistent with ADPNet's mission and principles may join the network. This includes but is not limited to universities, libraries, museums, historical societies, and agencies of state government. Institutions in other states may apply to join the network on a case-by-case basis.

For more information on the network's governance structure and the requirements for membership, see the ADPNet Governance Policy and ADPNet Membership Model.
