The Publisher in a Private LOCKSS Network like ADPNet is a Member of the network that collects and stages the digital content that will be preserved on the network by preservation nodes. Publishers collect digital content into an Archival Unit and stage it together with a Manifest Page on a web server that they manage.

Publisher: The creator of the content which is collected and preserved in the LOCKSS Caches on the network. Members of ADPN or other Private LOCKSS Networks who contribute content function as publishers.
